Many larger organizations use the IBM MQ as messaging middleware. Sometimes the IT infrastructure needed to run MQ can span a large number of nodes. This large number of nodes increases the issue of ensuring all systems run a correct fixpack or even a correct version of the MQ software. Having MQ running on multiple operating systems like AIX, Linux, Solaris, and Windows increases the complexity of this problem.

In May we announced the general availability of our IBM modules. In our blog post from the 30st of may we already introduced the MQ modules. In this blog post we will introduce the IBM Information Bus modules iib_install and iib_config.

Yesterday we announced the availability of our new IBM puppet modules. Besides modules for IBM Integration Bus (IIB), we also announced puppet modules to install and configure IBM MQ. This blog post will introduce these modules.
