Oracle recently announced the release of the WebLogic 14 beta. For many organizations, this is the perfect time to get a headstart on all the things needed to prepare for the transition. This means a lot of porting and testing. In general, this means having access to systems with the new WebLogic version and preferable WebLogic configured like the systems you now have running in production. To make these transitions as smooth as possible, we have already adapted our Puppet modules, so that you can install and configure your WebLogic 14 systems effortlessly.

Full reuse of existing Puppet code

But doing extensive changes in your infrastructure code for every new release of WebLogic would slow you down tremendously and increase the risks and migration costs. Our commitment is that our Puppet code is fully reusable with all new versions of the WebLogic. Switching to newer WebLogic versions becomes a breeze. We designed our Puppet modules so that by just changing the version number and providing a new zip file containing the WebLogic 14 software, is enough to build your infrastructure using the latest release.

Easy tailorable for your environment

A recent addition to our family of Puppet modules for WebLogic is the wls_profile module. The wls_profile module allows a smooth path from the first simple installation to a fully customized Enterprise setup. It is part of our family of Puppet modules to install, manage WebLogic systems with Puppet.
